AXA/SOUTH
Rural & remote

Rural procurement, served like a city contract.

Rural counties, small towns, tribal nations, and federal field offices buy the same things urban buyers do. The challenge is delivery and the willingness to quote a one-line PO. We do both.

How AXA South operates

No special license required. AXA South bids and holds prime government contracts as an authorized contracting party. No special license is required to bid or hold the prime relationship in the categories we pursue. Any work that requires a state-issued trade, professional, or specialty license is performed by subcontractors who hold those licenses in the project jurisdiction.

AXA South is a contracting and program-management firm, not a licensed trade.

Programs and field offices
What makes rural buying different
  • Smaller line items. A $600 PO is normal. We quote it without minimum-order pushback.
  • Real freight planning. LTL drop, terminal pickup, or station-to-station coordination where last-mile is missing.
  • Sole-source justifications. When competition is impractical, we help document the J&A.
  • Cooperative ride-along. Sourcewell and state cooperative contracts let rural buyers skip the formal bid.
Tribal procurement note

When sourcing into tribal government and IHS service units, AXA South respects Buy Indian Act priorities and ISDEAA preferences. If a tribally-owned firm with the required NAICS holds the prime, we step aside or partner as a subcontractor where appropriate. We do not chase awards reserved for Indian Economic Enterprises.
